Description
The Basic Pistol course with Best
Handgun Training is approximately a 6 to 8 hour course. Students will learn the
Basics of Pistol Shooting and receive an extensive
lesson in safety, gun handling, the various types of pistols, the fundamentals of pistol marksmanship,
various pistol firing positions, several practical exercises on the firing range, discussion on cleaning,
storage, and a summary of various pistol sports and activities.
Course Introduction
The Basic Handgun Training Course introduces students to the knowledge, skills and attitude necessary for owning and using a pistol
safely. Through this course, the students will learn about pistol parts and operation, ammunition, gun safety,
pistol shooting fundamentals, and pistol shooting activities. The Basic Pistol Course will also help prepare the
student for participation in other courses. The live fire exercise generally consists of 25 rounds of
ammunition. After this 25 rounds, you will be acclimated with the gun and be able to demonstrate the skills learned
in the classroom environment. After this training, you will be prepared to visit any range and apply this knowledge
which you have learned.

The are no
prerequisites for taking this course, and the age requirement is 18+.
Course Completion
The Best
Handgun Training Instructors provide feedback on the live-fire exercise and issue a certificate upon

This Basic Pistol course is approximately 6 to 8 hours long and is designed for
responsible adults 18 years of age and older.
The cost of this Basic Pistol course is $150.00
per person and includes all lesson materials (the use of a 22 semi automatic pistol, ammunition, targets, hearing
and eye protection) and certificate. Or, bring your own handgun (with your own ammunition) to
get comfortable with your handgun at the class.
The cost is $150 and a $20 CASH range fee is due at the start of class. To
